In the striking scenery of Lake Lucerne and its surrounding mountain ranges, a Concours d´Excellence International was held on September 16. Almost 40 breathtakingly beautiful classic cars in seven categories competed for the favour of the audience and the jury, who were spoilt for choice.
The venerable Auto Concours of Lucerne dates back to 1928, when the first show took place at the lakeside promenade. Chronoswiss supports this beautiful Lucerne tradition as official watch partner. The lucky winner of the „Grand Prix d´Excellence / Best of Show“, who was chosen out of the winners of all seven classes, received a Regulator Classic Rallye. This exclusive timepiece complements the winning car very nicely – with its rally watch strap and the sporty black and red colour scheme, it is the perfect match for the stunning black Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 corto, Cabriolet Worblaufen, from 1938.
In the past, Chronoswiss has been involved with the automotive sector in many ways on many occasions, either as a sponsor for numerous classic car events or with unusual special models, including cooperations with Alfa, Audi or Spyker. Its activity as a sponsor to the Concours d´Excellence International Lucerne is therefore a logical continuation of this and also fits in with the credo of “Regulate your Time”, which the watch brand uses to communicate its focus on models with the Regulator dial such as the Regulator Rallye, for example. Just like mechanical watches, historic cars also appeal to aficionados, connoisseurs and bons viveurs, who appreciate their special qualities.
